Overview
The Safari™ Commander LMR Wide-Area Networking System is a next-generation class of scalable wireless networking infrastructure equipment that makes it practical to design, build and integrate almost any mix of licensed and unlicensed radios into a fused mesh infrastructure for fault-resistant voice, video and data infrastructure solutions.
The Safari™Commander combines, in a single, military type ruggedized package, P25 and legacy physical interfaces, wireless protocol drivers, communications applications that when integrated with Commander’s powerful multi-protocol IP router optimizes support for nearly any analog or digital licensed or unlicensed radio to satisfy the most crucial of your mission critical infrastructure and reliability requirements. At the core of the Safari™ Commander is Metric Systems’ patented Safari™ multi-channel wireless network controller router enabling various radio devices such as LMR and broadband transceivers, to be easily integrated into a single integrated wireless hub. This is the core architectural component of a Safari™ Commander network. The Safari™ Commander enables fusion of data and information from diverse sources (e.g. trunked radio and streaming video and sensors) to be securely transported to meet a wide range of point-to-point, broadcast or multipoint delivery requirements.
