White Spaces Development System Platform

This development system created specifically for academic and industrial research includes a processor, translator, power supply, and antenna all custom-designed for white spaces innovation.

The white spaces cognitive radio development platform (WSCR-100) provides cognitive radio developers with an efficient means to develop and evaluate advanced protocol, modulation, and network concepts. In the lab and in the field it quickly minimizes interaction with RF level components. The WSCR-100 provides both standard command line or embedded control along with a web based user interface for setting UHF operating center frequency.

UHF to 2.4GHz Translator Up/Down Converter

This stand-alone unit converts ultra-high frequency (UHF) signals to 2.4 GHz (802.11g). In effect, the translator permits system integrators to deliver WiFi-like network access via the “white spaces” of un-used TV bands.

MSC invites inquiries from firms and institutions interested in developing and deploying white space wireless systems to discuss goals and objectives. With the capability to define, prototype, and manufacture white space systems for portable, mobile, and fixed application, both MSC’s package and component solutions are considered in the development of wireless system designs.
